What is the between the red and clear tranny fluid. I have a 2000 GT GA and was "almost" sure that the car came with the clear fluid?? Now it has the red in it for sure. Can anyone tell me if the car actually would have been built with the clear fluid in it or was it the red...I really don't know?

There is a clear tranny fluid? I've been messing with cars for 18 years and I have never seen a clear tranny fluid... Interesting.

Should have posted again. Found out that there is a clear fluid but it has some kind of "friction additive" in it that would NEVER be used in a stock tranny. Apparently it is for more race application units. This is all news to me, so if someone could find out the reality of this, I would be much interested in knowing if this info is right??

i've never seen clear ATF... i've had 4 race trannies in my T/A and only ever used Type F...

ive seen clear fluid in a dodge before. for a period of only a couple weeks when dodge switched from atf+3 to atf+4, the dyes wernt being added to the new fluid, so there were a couple weeks worth of vehicles that had clear fluid in them.

ive never seen clear fluid that you can buy to put in a vehicle.

Agreed. All auto tranny fluid is red so you know it is auto tranny fluid and dont use regular manual trans fluid.
