I used it in two 3 speeds and thought it was impressive. I set the band clearance close so that the shifts were very quick like little thumps. I didn't get in tire churping but the shifts were solid or mildly positive, no sliding into gear. If you need strength I believe it requires wider or higher performing bands for more grip, because one of the 3 spds was used on a turbocharged 3.4 in Fiero and once the transmission warmed up it couldn't hold full throttle torque in third gear, so either the drum band was slipping or the clutch pack. I never bothered trying to figure it out.

first off, what tranny are we talking about here???

i have driven my share of vehicles that our shop has put transgo kits into, and i can say, transgo makes a quality product. 90% of the time, you follow the instructions exactly, and the transmission will work great without any further tweaking.

we havent done one in a 4t60e. we dont have many people looking for fdw performance (at least mid/full size gm anyways), and we dont do any service vehicles (cop cars/ taxis).

if its like any other transgo kit, itll work great.

I have one plus some other mods. I'm not sure what each individual part did, but I wouldn't build a tranny without the shift kit. It's too cheap not to.
