I recently went to a local salvage yard and found a 91-92 Grand Prix SE coup with a 3.1 in it. It had a Manual Transmission in it and I've been thinking of doing a swap on my 3.4 for the 284. Do you guys know if this tranny would be a 284 or a 282? I couldn't find any #'s on it.

are you sure its a 91-92 with a pushrod 5 speed? I thought those were only 88-90 for the 5 speed pushrod and 91-93 was only DOHC as having the option. Go look at the computer and find the BCC code. 4 letters and 8 numbers but only the letters are important. I have never seen a 91-93 W body 3.1 5 speed chip.
