    4T45-E question

    I'm planning on installing a tranny line pressure gauge in my '99 so I can more accurately adjust the sucker, and was wondering if anyone knew offhand which plug on the case can be used to run a line pressure gauge; I'm not sure where it is on the FWD trannies.

    Also, can anyone recommend a line pressure psi rating on a mostly stock motor and tranny?

    YOur best bet is to look at a GM/Hydromatic or ATSG service manual for your trans on pressure port and pressure specs. They can varry on line pressure depending on app.

        Good luck finding a PDF. I looked on the ATSG site and they don't even have a manual for them. They do have one for the 4T40E, but I'm sure there are enough differences that it wouldn't work. I'd say your best bet might be to PM tejohnson and see if he can tell you. He's had his tranny apart a few times.
