3.4 auto --> manual pilot bearing ?

is the back of the 3.4's crank ready to insert pilot bearing and go when swapping from auto to manual?

Yup they will all accept the bearing. Just use your stock S-10 or Camaro bushing

What car is this going in? The FWD manuals don't use pilot bushings/bearings like the RWD's.

He's right. No bushing/bearing. Just gave birdman a manual engine from a 91-93. He can double check that.

Pretty obvious I don't have a 5spd. :P
So what protects the input shaft? Does it just float?

it does on most gm fwd cars. infact, i think the only gm fwd car ive seen with a pilot bushing is a chevy sprint, and thats not even gm, its a geo.

Most FWD trannies has 2 bearings on the input shaft that keep it in place. Most RWD trannies do not. The input shaft is kept from moving around by the pilot bearing in the crank.
