I want put a manual tranny on my 92 z34 .. and it hard too find a HM-284...I want put a HM-282 with good ratio... I dont know if it will be fit and I dont know if I can put a quad 4 tranny or if its nessessairy to put a v6 tranny... can you help me?

quad 4 tranny is a different bellhousing, it will not work.
what you are going to need to find is a 282 from a 3.1l is a w-body. the way the trans mounts in the w-body is different from smaller gm fwd cars. aside from that, you need the pedal assmembly from a w-body as well as the console and axles, and anything else (clutch, flywheel, shifter cables ect) can come from any gm fwd with a getrag 282.

'88-'90 Grand Prix or Cutlass Supreme has the Getrag 282 5-speed. you could probably have a W-body Getrag 282 rebuilt using gears from an L/J/N-body 282 but you definately need to use a W-body 282 case in your Z34 as others have mentioned.'91 Cutlass Supreme sedan - 3.1 Intercooled Turbo / Getrag HM-282 5-speed - 13psi / lightly modded
