  • 4t60e to 4t65e

    ok guys need help..does anyone know if i can switch from a 4t60e trans to a newer 4t65e trans???reason why i got a killer blown,nos injected 3.4 going into my beretta,but want a beefier trans and a posi unit in it..i found a place that sells all that stuff but only for the newer 4t65e trans...which is why i want to switch....unless someone knows where i can buy a high performance parts for the older 4t60es...................keepin it real

    Nope, can't do it. Well, not without a PCM swap so that the 65E can be controlled. Although the 60E is electronically controlled, it is limited to what is actually controlled. The 65E is much more electronically controlled, and thus would require a PCM that is meant for it. Since you are swapping in a 3400, there is a possibility that you could get the PCM and tranny from a donor car (can't remember which ones had the 3400/65E right now) and just swap it all in. Then there is always the clearance issues. I have heard that the 65E is bigger than the 60E, therefore requiring some custom work (mounts, halfshafts, etc) to be done in order for it to work in a Beretta.

      ok,if i cant swap the tranny,anyone know where i can buy parts for the 4t60e???

        How much hp and torque does your 3.4 have?

          You might want to inquire at:

          They say the 60E HD they offer will handle 300hp and 400 torque
          cost $3400 and I don't know the reputation of the company. I am looking for a link I have that sold hi performance parts for the 60E but I have so many damn 'Favorite' links I don't know what the F is going on.... Time to organize.
