the real question is, now to mate a ford T5 up to a 60degv6, with clutch and flywheel in working order.

I'd go a T5 from a Chevy if I was mating to a 60 deg V6.
If I needed to mate a Ford build T5 to a 60 deg V6 I'd try the disc from a 85-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe first. That disc is 9" diameter, so it should fit the S-10 pressure plate sized for the 9-1/8" Chevy disc, and has the right splines for the Ford T5.
Careful since the Ford T5s have three different length input shafts, you'd want the one from a V8 Mustang to get the right length for the Chevy bell housing. But that means you need a special pilot bearing for the crank, the Chevy pilots are 15 mm diameter, where the Ford Mustang T5 pilot is 17 mm. Like the other post said, use the bell from a 93 or 94 S-10 with 2.2L four cylinder.

Read the posts, and I think there is some confusion.
GM T5s prior to the 93 model year have the GM bolt pattern on the main case, and would use a 93 or earlier S-10 with 2.8 V6 bell housing to bolt to 60 deg V6.
S-10 and Camaro T5s from the 93 and 94 model years, the main case on the trans has the Ford bolt pattern, you use the bell from a 93 or 94 S-10 with a 2.2L four to bolt to a 60 deg V6.
GM T5s prior to 93 have two different input shafts, 1" diameter x 14 spline on the T5s that came behind fours and V6s, 1-1/8" diameter x 26 spline on T5s in V8 CamarosF'Birds. The 93 and 94 Camaro and S-10 trannies have the 1-1/8" x 26 spline input shaft. If you have the 1 x 14 input, you use the clutch disc from a eighties S-10 (NAPA RCF 4203). If you have the 1-1/8 x 26 input, I would use the disc from a 93 or 94 S-10 with 2.2L.

fords own 60 degree line-up includes either the 2.8 or 2.9, the 3.0 and the 4.0 both ohv and sohc versions. the 3.8 is a 90 degree based on the 5.0 and so is the 4.2.
i know rangers use a mazda tranny m5od-r1, or some other foreign tranny, and i think the f-150's got a m5od-r2. the new 06+ mustang v6's are getting the 4.0 sohc with a 5 speed option that is supossed to be a t5.If you aren't friends with a liar, you aren't friends with anyone.

The EARLY ranger had the 2.8, but then was changed to a 2.9, probably a marketing reason. "Ford, because we're bigger then Chevy".

Im pretty sure that if its a world class or not all borg warner trannys are up for anything.. u can slam & grind gears with them all day and it juss seems to goes into gear better.. lol I had a 5 speed BorgWarner in my 4cyl chevette and it outlasted 4 chevette engines, 2 rearends, and 3 sets of tires, 3 motormounts and im still using it in a diffrent chevette an A-1 tranny, then my 2.8L chevette got a t-5 from an s-10 and it has also outlasted 2 engines and still kickin,VIDEO Acadian http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...7f00197eea.htm

thats because your trannies were behind 2.8's and 4 cylinders.
put a t5 behind any sort of real power and it's toast. there is a reason they only came with v6 and 305 f-bodies and the 350 was automatic only.
