Trans is all done and in. Replaced the 4th bushing and the 4th hub, the bushing that it rides on was pressed too far in and I think that cause the original failure. By adding a second spring to the 1-2 modulator it firmed up that shift nicely... Everything else is running good so far.

We have a full write up on rebuilding the 4T60E? I have the GM shop books, but never really read the 300 pages of tranny stuff.

I've been thinking of rebuilding mine sometime (When I get a garage back).

Its not really a write up, and what do you mean 300 pages of a shop manual??? I used a ATSG book and was able to accomplish everything I ever need. I was saying they could use my pics and what not to describe the 4t60e internals and if someone wanted to throw together a write up then that would be sweet. I could help with it too.

If you didn’t notice I like to keep things clean this is why the book isn't so oiled, up... Plus I have two books one just in case the other becomes unreadable... haha.

Update though the Trans has been in since April and has been running flawlessly... I went all the way to Pittsburgh and back with it for Bfest and had no issues. And she still shifts hard enough to chirp my GTZ rims with 225/50 tires on them. Not bad for a granny tranny.
