Hey, I have a strange problem, the newer 87+ Transmission Modulators used a Plunger, but mine doesnt have one, i thought mabye it stuck in, so i got a magnetic screw driver and pulled out somthing, thinkin its the plunger, NO its the stem thats in there, its the old 84-86 Style, but i have a 1990 and every who has had a TGP has had the plunger type? My car has 72k original miles too, is my new one still compatible? the plunger in the new one comes out, heres a pic, see the diagram with the plunger, and then the old style withough, and the old style Stem and the new style stem, i seem to have the old style, WTF??

best bet is to bring in your old modulator and plunger valve to be matched up?

Eh never mind, i got it all figured out, i used a shop manual, turns out TGPs are the only cars to still use the old style, i just needed to take out the plunger on the new one, and replace it, adjust it, and it shifts great now
