    has ony1 on here swapped a 284 into a w-body that came with a auto?

    i bought a car that had a swap done and had a few questions and was wondering if any other swappers experienced the same?

    steering feels too responsive, like the turn ratio is too high or something.
    would i need to swap in a 5 spd rack too?
    next the overall balance of the car feels un-even in handling and braking.
    of course the rear struts are blown out and that may fix this. the front ones probably need to be replaced too.

    last question will the struts off of a 95 monte work on this w-body?(car is a 94 gp gtp btw)

    i don't think theres a different steering rack for auto to 5spd, i did a converison to my 93 GTP, and it drove the same as the 92 GTP stock 5spd, as for the strunts they will work, and i did brake upgrade by putting strunts form a 95 regal with the larger brakes on it to i think they were 11.25inch front rotors and reused my stock calipers, but i would recommand changing the strunt cartage and check the strunt bears on the springs to make sure there not sezed,

      The tranny will not affect the steering. You may however have a car with a sports option or handling option which will typically include a steering system with a higher ratio.

        i tried monte struts on the rear of my gp (set up for coilovers) and they did not work. the travel and case are different lengths. FE3's (iirc) got the higher ratio racks and tgp's ive heard had even higher ratio ones.
