Actually it's fairly simple. You need the floor shifter and cable's. And the studs to bolt the shifter down. There *should* be some holes to slide the studs in but they may need to be welded (is been awhile since I've been under the carpet). After bolting everything down and running the cables, pop the pin out of your colum and cut the shifter cables off the colum and your done. And if you need the floor shifter, I have them in storage. I might even have the cables too.Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

Cadet, You can also use any floor shifter from any X-Body with just as good results, as long as you have a 3 speed. If you have a 4 speed, you can use the shifter from an '85 X-Body. And Citation's are still fairly common in most bone yards (sadly). And the cables are the same. Hell, if you want to convert your car to a stick shift, use the shifter assembly out of a citation. The cables may be a bit tough, though.Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash.
