  • stock 284 clutch set

I'm looking at a clutch set from Autozone for $184, it is a Cumberland brand. PN# NU31179

Curious, this is the right part right? Autozone is gay and requires you to pre-pay for special order parts. Since I have my clutch off yet again I am contemplating putting a new pressure plate on to totally eliminate all possible problems, so what parts does this set include? Pressure plate and disc I assume but how bout the TOB?

Chances are it should be everything, I paid that much for mine and I got everything.

If you are just looking for a pressure plate, you can get a brand new stock one from GM for $141. I have the p/n if you want it. Otherwise, there is a Perfection Hytest clutch kit @ Advanced Auto for $180 which has the pressure plate, clutch disc, TO bearing, and alignment tool (same as the Cumberland kit).

I was thinking about it but for $40 more i get a disc, TOB, and tool that I don't need.

Ya, its hard to justify the cost. What did you decide to do?

You might be able to get the pressure plate separately.... I know they are sold that way...

Isn't this just funny, finally found a place that sells the pressure plate seperately (Advanced Auto). Their price for the whole set: $180, pressure plate individually: $200.
