MN4 just calls out that its a 4T40E. There is a different RPO for the ratio. And no, I'm pretty sure its not a 3.42.

well on ebay, this guy says 3.42

3.29 is the highest FDR on a 4T45-E. The 4T40-E had 3.05 (the only difference between the two).

When you want to swap the ratio do you have to swap all pof the tranny or you just have to swap the internal chain and sprocket to change the ration and keep the same transmission? I wanted to get a higher ratio for a better elapsed time on the 1/4 for my 2002 malibu.
