  • Shift kit

Has anyone tried to use the thrasher,or intense 4t65e shift kit in a 4t60e trans? I want to know if the accumuator springs are compatible, or if someone made one on their own? I'm looking just to firm up the shifts abit my car has 127,000 miles on it and sometimes shifts rough from 1st to 2nd.

All you have to do is shim the springs, you dont need new ones.

Shimming the accumulators... but if you can chirp the tires... your tranny is gonna die.

I know that TransGo has both a shift kit (to fix known problems) and a shift reprogram kit (to firm up shifts) for the 4T60E, but I can't remember where I've seen them before. I'll try to see if I can get the link.

chirping the tires isn't bad, i do it all the time on my third trans lol acctually all my clutches were still like brand new from my rebuild just everything metal was bad. just don't brake stall your car above 3000 cause i did 4500 on accident and there was no more trans

What if your transmission started chirping the tires on(on the 1-2 shift at WOT) it's own w/o any mods what so ever could this be a sign of a catastrophic failure in the making?
