cross gen tranny question

i bought a 93 z34 for 300 bux. motor runs good, compression is good, but not spectacular.

i originally bought it for the motor to put in my car but i decided to put my tranny in it and flip it and use the money to rebuild an engine fresh.

the body is super clean and if is wasn't for that awful burgandy interior i might have put the assy in my gray car, sold it and kept the white one.

i have 2 questions base on some differences i observed.

1.
there is a sensor that hooks to the tranny linkage. i think it is called the trans range sensor or something like that.

the 94 sensor is clearly different from the 93 and i was wondering if i can just switch them(as in putting the 93 sensor on a 94 tranny)?

2.
same applies to the speed sensor, do i need to switch them? or are they the same? if i need to will it swap with np?

are you sure you have the same tranny between the 2 cars??? from 92-94, gm was swapping over from the 440t4 to the 4t60e, and for no reason at all, 2 identical vehicles could come with different transmissions. check to make sure they are the same. the 440t4 will have a throttele cable on top of it, the 4t60e wont

i am certain they are both 4t60e's they didn't swap over the rest of the cars until 94 except for the lumina z34's which got the t460e in 91. i do not know if this applies to all dohc equipeed cars but i am fairly certain it does since the lq1 would have destroyed the other tranny.

there might be some gm bastard lq1/440t4's runnig around but i doubt there would be any past 91. also i checked. exact same as my 94 tranny except the plug on top of it is different, the one on the side appears to be the same and appearence wise i am sure the speed sensor will be the same too.
