    RE: 440t4 3.73 upgrade?

Ive heard it makes a better difference on the pushrods than the DOHC, but I have no experience with the DOHC in that config. Id say its worth doing if you don't mind a gas milage hit. The pushrods I am referring to hearing comments on are all gen 3 motors, not gen 2.

Guess no one wants to help you. Let me find some of my old 440T4 manuals and see if I can find any information for you. I think really the only differences between the 440T4 and 4T60E, as far as changing the ratios, might be the diff ratio and the chain/sprocket setups. I'd think everything else should be basically the exact same.

I haven't messed with either tranny, and I haven't read through they 4T60E how-to in a long time, but if I can find some info, it might at least get you headed in the right direction.

Hey Brad, I don't suppose your 440T4 manual have any sections about performance tips do they? The manual we have just mentioned a basic rebuild.

Anyways, for the topic at hand, what other info are you looking for, I have the 440T4 manual here handy and can look up any info you need, perhaps trans numbers that would have your gear upgrade or what not?

If your set up is a 2.8/3.1 and it is mated in a W car then you'll need the drive chain sprokets from a 3.4 tdc 4t60e transmission. that will give you the 3.73 ratio.

I was about to scrap my 60-E b/c I cracked the case.

I pulled the pan for me, but if you need gears, let me know quick.

I know nothing bout the tranny but if you explain how... I can prolly pull it.
