    Is there a shift kit for 4T60-E in a 95 3100? Couldn't find it.Somebody direct me.Thanks

    shimming your accumlators will do more for less money than a shift kit.

      I want to know more about shimming the accumulators. Basically this compresses the spring further, and makes the shifts firmer or quicker?? How much of an effect does this have as compared to using an adjustable vacuum modulator?

        an adjustable modulator only firms the shifts at part throttle, it does nothing for wot shifts.

          How big of job is it to shim the accumulators and how big is the shim.

            I did 1/2" on each of my springs. Its basically: drop the pan, pull a few more bolts, then the accumulator assembly drops out. Pop in the washers, then re-install.
