  • 5 speed swap

    auto to 5 speed its in an 89 beretta now it has a 3.1. is there any wiring u need to do ? i know u need the ecm is there any thing else.

    You don't need the ecm... and there isn't much in the way of wiring.. you'll need to by pass the nutrel saftey switch... and you should wire in a clutch saftey switch, but you don't have to...

      I havent missed the clutch safety switch. I used the cruise control too.

        The clutch saftey switch is a good idea still... If someone is standing out side your car and is and idiot and trys to start your car and it happens to be in gear.. If it hops out into traffic or causes damage insurance might not cover you because a factory safty feature isn't functioning properly..

          And you cannot run at the track without it. They check mine every time.
