LSD and Getrag questions

The GM offered one was clearly a Torsen, there is a pic in the catalog.

The EP one is a modified stock differential with springs and clutch-packs

im considering it for my 1992 Turbo Cutlass 5-speed.

Colin how was the install process? i dunno if i should try it myself or have the same shop that rebuilt my 282 do it....

any input is welcome

How much did they charge you to rebuild your 282?

$900 cdn for full rebuild and syncros

i know the guy who runs the shop and he has done 3 trannys for me in the past

Its not hard to do. You will need new bearings, detent cover and a tube or two of anerobic sealer. The install is a pretty straight forward re and re of the carrier.

If you dont have a press then you can get a shop to remove the bearings and speedo gear/reluctor ring.
