Hey whats up. ive got a 94 cutlass with a 3100 and 4t60-e with some tranny problems. my friend has a 4t60-e out of a 97 lumina 3100. I wanted to know if these would be compatible and swap out, or would there be some complicated differences?

i would guess the biggest difference would be that he has OBD2 and you have OBD1.5, which could cause issues in wiring and such. -
So if i swapped them as is, what differences would i see? any ideas, or you think it just wouldnt run right.

the transmission is electronicly controlled by the ecm. however, i dont think the conector changed between 94 and 97, so it should work fine. would be wise to check the wire color against the pin location in the plug on both cars to make sure they are the same.
being obd 1, 1.5, ore 2 makes no difference.
