  • High performance Tranny for 93' Lumina z34

I want a high performance tranny for my automatic Z34. What's a recommended Chevy/aftermarket brand and model#? Thanks

He's right. Our engines are bastard stepchildren that no one wants to make stuff for. There are some heavier duty parts and some tricks, i.e.hardened pin in the final drive gears. 3.73 ratio as outlined in a news article on the main page. I use Type F fluid, some disagree, but I have had no problems since the 2rd rebuild.
If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

Changing the torque converter will help alot. Since these engines dont make any power below 3000rpm a 3k stall converter would be your best bet for the money. Then you can do the 13* timing mod because it only hurts you below 3000 rpm. An LSD would also be nice
