eh, not so easy. got a junkyard part. had one wire that didn't go into the connector (mine goes in it), my MLPS has a built-in harness with two connectors. also, one of the connectors was diff. than my setup. Basically, i had to fix the part before it was useable..................to a tune of $30.

Did your computer shut down, and not allow the tranny to shift into OD, until you turned the car off, and re-started it?

eh, no. hooked it upto a Snap-On scanner and watched the MLP sensor as i shifted thru the gears. the sensor would read 4th gear in many positions (including the Park position). however, it wouldn't read 4th with the selector in O/D.
Basically, replacing the MLP sensor on top of the tranny did the trick.

Thanks, just wondering, my 94 GTP is losing OD and won't lock up at any given time(doesn't seem to be a pattern), until I shut the engine off, and re-start it, but then it will do it again within a few miles.
I've replaced just about everything, except the MLPS.

if it's popping out, it's something else. if it won't go in, try the MLP switch. but get a junkyard part, which will be cheaper on you. if it's not your MLP switch, you won't be out much money vs. a new switch.
