I had my transmission rebuilt about 20 thousands miles ago. Anyway, now the fluid is burnt. Is it gonna be ok to to have it flushed? Or should I just get it changed? Also, what kind of fluid should I use? i was thinking type f or the b&m synthetic fluid. I don't want this transmission to go out again for the 3rd time. Also, in my 02 GTP, would I be better off with the same fluid in the transmission?

What kind of miles are on the GTP? I would just drop the pan and change the filter every 50k. Thats what the manufacturer suggests.

If it's burnt I'd drop the pan and have a look at it.. make sure there is no clutch material or excesive metal in the pan.. I'd also change the filter and brake the old one open and have a look at it.. make sure there is no flakes of clutch material in it.. If all looks good I'd flush the old fluid out...
Burn fluid isn't a good sign.. it meens your transmission is over heating... could be due to lack of cooling - possible plugged cooler in the rad, kinked cooler line, motor running to hot.. Or it is cause by the transmission slipping it's self...
Usualy if you simply haven't changed it in a long time you'll get varnished fluid, which starts looking clear..
