transmission fluids

in continuation on the main page "tranny fluid" excerpt...how honest is that that it wont mess up a 4t60e by flushing the dextron out and putting type f in?

i seriously want to do it with my tranny when i get the polish work on my engine done, but really dont want to have problems.

as a note...my tranny fluid has been changed every 9k miles.

I flushed out the dex III on my 88 regal and used type F, the car is still driving today, flawlessly - it's got over 200k on the transmission (and about 160 on the engine)

I'm gonna be flushing out my Z34's transmission here as soon as I've got a few extra bucks ready partly because it needs a flush, and partly because I want to use type F instead.

not yet, I've located the parts a few times, but the keep askin' for way too much money ($275 for a freekin' bumper cover?!?) so I got an other mustang instead, but I'm keepin' the Z as a daily driver 'n' such.
