I am thinking about putting an adjustable vacuum modulator on. Advance lists one for only $20. My question is how hard is this to do? I know its on the outside of the tranny sorta under the air box. Is there anything I should watch out for or do special when changing it? Thanks!

It's really easy to change over.. you'll need a very small flat head screw driver to adjust it.. You'll want to watch out for the valve behind the mod when you change it.. It shouldn't come out, but if it does it'll only go back in 1 way.. don't force it in either.. guide it in straight with a magnet.. An adjustible mod will be nice.. it'll alow you to adjust how hard or soft your transmission is going to shift..

I put one on my lumina afew weeks ago and it really improved the shift feel and quality. I noticed under light throttle there would be abit of shift lag between 2-3 and 3-4 since installing it the lag appears to be none existant anymore for the most part. I adjusted it so the vacuum would act more easily on the spring loaded pintile at the end of the modulator. lol wondering if i should play with it abit more to see if i can get the shifts more dialed in
