Ya pretty much. If memory serves the Fiero 4-speed pressure plate is always safe but the 5-speeds are more hit and miss. I could be wrong though it's been awhile since I've checked.
I'm using a stock 4-speed pressure plate and ACT 6-puck disc with an 8 lb aluminum flywheel and it's surprisingly a very streetable combo.
With f23? Not trying to be annoying. Just learning so much these last few days. I don't want to leave any question or doubt unanswered. I can't afford to do this twice.
Yeah pretty much all GM transverse drivetrain clutches use the same spline and even the same pressure plate bolt pattern until you start getting into F35 and F40 stuff.

can I ask how you guys handled the shift linkage? I wana put an f-23 or F40 into my 3500 swap when I move it over to my 88(fiero), clueless on how do do the shift setup...
