Ok so i had my friend rebuild my auto 4t60e, he rebuilt it with the same parts as jon (3400-95-modified) used on his trans minus the lsd but put in
dual stripe modulator, new sannox hardened valves, hardened reverse shell, hardened output shaft, reybestos stage 1 red clutches, transgo shift correction kit, i shimmed the accumulators and put a 19xx stall from a 01' grand am in it also to help me out alittle.
I am having big problems with the trans..
-Trouble shifting, manually upshift dosent help but will manually downshift.
-slipping in random gears, but mostly when going into first, sometimes seams like it dosent even transfer to the wheels until several tries.
-Randomly jumping into first gear after stalling to around 4k before doing so, other times moving fine and shifting into first around 2k.
-OVERHEATING when driven 5 miles highway
- Seems to slip less when cold but dosent want to shift, when warmed seems to slip and shifts ok.
Anyone know what could have gone wrong with the rebuild or if it could be a sensor/wiring, torque converter bad, shift correction kit being put on improperly or valve body(valve sticking)?
Anyone know how i can test for any of these things being bad while the trans is in the car?
Any help is greatly appreciated, this is the only thing stopping me from driving my baby which has been sitting for 6 months during restoro.
Thanx
