  • Question : Any 4t60e stall converters or lsd's?

Ok im rebuilding my 95' 4t60e trans in my 95 retta with a bunch of new stuff including reybestos stage 1 clutches and want to put in a stall converter and possibly a lsd.

Where/who makes 2000-3000 range stall converters for my application?

and who makes limited slip differentials that dont cost $600 but are still good quality?

a converter from a 2.5L turbo sunfire has stalls at 2300 and 2500, i'm going to end up using one of those myself. not sure if it will work in a 4t60e, but i would imagine it would. you could get one rebuilt and only have it cost 100$ make sure you put in a shift kit and tighten up the clutch clearance's but adding extra steels, not sure again if the 4t60e has the 2nd with alot of play.

As far as LSD's, unless your auto crossing, i wouldnt bother with the headache.

Transgo has a shift correction kit which i already purchased alone with new bands, sannox hardened valves, reybestos stage 1 clutches ect.

And if $600 is as cheap as lsd's go than im deff forgetting it.

And that 2000-2500 stall is in my range i just need one from a more common vehicle and also need to know which will DEFF fit.

IIRC, phantom grip makes a 4T60E unit, but i can't comment on quality, i don't know of that many out there.

dont waste money on a lsd unless you want to fork up 2k for a quaife and its an auto cross car. if your prices for a TQ are over 250$ let me know and i'll get you hooked up through my work and shipped out to you. a TQ would be 100$ or less and shipping is probably around 100$ due to the weight, i'm guessing.

By TQ do you mean torque converter?
I would want one around 2000-2200 optimally and would want it to have kevlar
                  for a 95' 4t60e

look to be around $350 for a PG unit...

                    a 92-97 bonnie is definitely a 60E.

2200 is pretty much stock i think, get me the numbers off your Torque Converter.
Kevlar isnt really a great idea as its very abbrasive, just a high performance material with extra contact will suffice. we use to use kevlar bands on 48RE's, they held up great, but they wore the drums down hard and actually ate into them.
And as far as paying for it ext. I'll make sure everything goes through the business so you know your not getting jipped and is legit.

i think 1850 is stock for my tq,
so 2000-2500 should probably be good but im unsure because i know nothing about them, any suggustions?

and i need an avg price if possible on a stock 2000-2500 range and one thats alittle tougher 2000-2500 range, shipped to 15666
