Swap ?

So, im planning on buying my 3500 in the next couple weeks here for my 97 Malibu, and im very impatient lol. so my ? is should i go for a 4t45e from a GA or Alero and just go for the swap? or should i save up and get a 4t64eHD also, what is involved with swapping the 4t65 in? And how well would a 4t45 hold up to the 3500? cuz i know my 4t40 isnt holding well to my small port 3100..

From what I've seen, the 45E can take the beating depending what is done to it internally and the conditions you set for the transmission.

I'd use the 45E over the 60/65 trans for the less weight and ease of install factor since Bu's came with 45E later on in its life and iirc they came with the 40E's prior to receiving that 45E.
