Question : Getrag F23 in a W Body ??

I have a 2002 3400/3500 hybrid almost complete. Is it possible to mount a Getrag F23 2010 model to ths motor in a 2002 W Body? I know the tranny details will need to be turned off in the PCM. I want a 5 speed and there wasnt one offered with a 2002 W body. Also would there need to be an adapter plate made and if so has anyone ever made one. Thank you in advance

possible? yes, but there's a few problems here: the mounts are not going to work at all, you'll have to fab that yourself. the F23 is also weaker than say, a 282 or 284, though they are getting much harder to find these days. also: is the bellhousing on the F23 the same as a 660? i know there have been some bolted up, but i don't know if there was an adapter used in the process...

and finally: if you're going to go through all of this work, you might as well spring for a 2006 F40... at least then, it's of at least comparable strength to a 282, though there is a LS7/F40 fiero running around that has yet to break it...you'll also have another gear to play with.
