  • Update: Built 4T60-e

Well its been a few months and a few thousand miles. I must say i couldnt be happier with the trans. If you read my prcious post you know my reaction shell was trashed, chain streched, and clutches had some wear. Now with new hardend parts, updated parts, Raybestos clutches, Transgo shift kit, New OEM Vac accumulator modual and a Custom 3000 RPM stall converter... and a few thousand miles later Nothing but from ear to ear.

so, without a doubt, more durable than a stock 65e?
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

Yeah. The Stock 65e from what i have+ heard isnt much stronger/better then the stock 60-e.... Especially if you have the later/updated 60-e (95+). the best thing is i didnt have to swap in a 65-e and rewire it... I am very satisfied with the built 60-E... I have seen posts by MattM from zzp say that the 60-e if built right is a good tranny (larger chain and what not then the 65's).

My trans is basically a new andbetter trans in the old case ... Anyone looking to up grade i would suggest saving time and money and build the 60-E... Now just need a good LSD (lol don't have the $$$$ right now) and i will be an even happier camper!

If anyone wants to donate to to Broke ass hoopty recovery fund lol feel free to shoot an email

        I agree with you 100%

        I'm very happy with mine.

I just gotta get it to shift quicker on the 1-2... WAY too delayed with my motor/converter/and spray combo... LOL
