  • Trany/clutch problem

I just finish installing a 3.4L (converted to carburator) on my MGB 1979. I am using a Camaro t-5. Instead of the slave cylinder I am using a Hydrolic Bering. Bleed the system, no problem. I can see the berring moving inside the bellhousing and pushing on the Pressure Plate. I believe that the installation was fine. I can not shift to any speed. As appear that the bering is working well, do not appear that it release the Clutch Plate. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hmmm, I wasn't aware that you could just substitute the concentric slave cylinder design (what you refer to as hydraulic bearing) for the release arm design. I'd double check to see if there is a different flywheel and or pressure plate design associated with it. Generally, if your release bearing is moving at least 3/4", you should have release unless some sort of component mismatch is affecting the push distance.

If you ain't rock and roll, you must be driving a Honda
