Rebuilding a 282?

Im having difficulty finding a decent 282 thats worth throwing into my car. I already put 2500 into it in the last month 5speed swapping it and repairing misc stuff along the way. I figure i should go all out and just rebuild the tranny.

Are there even rebuild kits available for these?

Anything i should know?

take it to a good shop and have them take a look. I got a quote of $200 to repair my bad synchros...
