the 4t60-e and 65-e are similar, but i don't think the PCM would like the lack of a pressure control solenoid that would be gone if the 60-e was swapped in. depnding on the year of the 60-e it also might not have a PWM TCC setup, another thing the PCM would be bitching about.

there are only certain parts between the 60-e and 65-e that can be swapped, but i'm not the person to ask.

at least it has the PWM TCC then. but the PCM still won't like the lack of a PCS, and the gear ratio may be different as well.

do you know if the clutch's and band's are the same ?? torque converter ? diff ?

the trans is off a fresh rebuild and it would be great if i could just swap out the guts after mine craps out .

It's all the same except for some of the electronics and some redesigned internal parts. You would have to compare wiring diagrams. The main thing to run a 4T60-E is to be able to operate the A, B, TCC, and TCCPWM soleniods. If there are any common sensors those should be wired as well.
