  • SFI Approved Flexplates?

I've found sfi approved flexplates for the older 2.8L rwd engines that are external balanced, but these work on a gen3-4 engine if neutral balanced? Just hoping to find a flexplate plate that will hold up a little better and be a little safer than just spinning a stocker up to 7-8krpm and praying it won't fly apart and the bellhousing safety plate holds. Searched around for answers and no luck so far.

Have you emailed anyone like TCI and see what they say, or have available?

Actually scratch that I just found an internal balanced sfi approved flexplate for the rwd application 2.8L. Little leary about it, but for the cost its worth a shot.

I think the sfi meziere flexplate for the gm 3.8's MIGHT fit. The meziere is a 245mm converter and I think the 3100/3400s are 245mm. Not sure for the 2.8.

I won't be spinning my 3400 engine higher than 6400 with a stock flexplate.
