  • mini coopers and g6 f40

    anyone know the diffrances between the f40 used in a g6 and the one in a mini cooper S? r the bell housings the same? and gearing?

    the mini uses a F40? first i've heard of it....
    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

      it was news to me as well. i googled f40 and there was a "HOW TO'' for converting a base mine to a f40 found in the mine type S. sooo i either got realy confused or learned something new. lol

        Why not? Some of the old Chrysler rebadged cars were made by Maserati and used the Getrag 284 before the DOHC W bodies did.

          just never heard of it until now....

          bet it's near impossible to destroy in a mini though...
