Although I'm still not 100% that I am going with a T5 for the Mustang project, it seems like a logical choice. With that said, which T5 should I be looking for? Browsing around I have found ones for Mustangs, F-bodies and S-series trucks. I'm pretty sure I don't want a truck one, due to the location of the shifter. But, would an F-body be better than a Mustang one, when mating up to a 60V6? One listing I saw mentioned the in and out spline counts. Is there a difference on the in spline count between the GM and Ford units? The output I could care less about as I will need a custom driveshaft most likely anyway, so that can be dealt with.
Oh, and if anyone has one they want to get rid of, let me know (even if it doesn't work)! Right now, I'd just like to get one so I can mate it up to the block and start figuring out mounts and such. I bet even a case would work for what I need. When time comes, I will probably shell out some $$ for a decent one.
