The Rockauto.com listing for a Rhino Pac flywheel for a 92 Z34 (284) lists these vehicles that their flywheel will fit in:
CHEVROLET LUMINA 1990
CHEVROLET LUMINA EURO (1990 - 1993)
CHEVROLET LUMINA Z34 (1991 - 1993)
CHEVROLET S10 PICKUP (1994 - 2003)
GMC SONOMA (1994 - 2002)
ISUZU HOMBRE (1996 - 2000)
OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME 1991
OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME INTERNATIONAL (1991 - 1992)
OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME S 1992
OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME SL 1991
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (1989 - 1993)
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GT (1991 - 1993)
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX LE (1989 - 1993)
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX MCLAREN 1990
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX SE (1989 - 1992)
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX STE (1990 - 1993)
And we all know, any W body that got a manual that didn't have a 284 was a 282 (which would account for the 89-90 GPs) since the 284 was only used from 91-93 (in the Z34, GTP, STE and Cutty INTL.).Last edited by pocket-rocket; 09-25-2009, 02:03 PM.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

I wouldn't go with that light wieght flywheel if your using it in a w-body because of the wieght of the car VS. the power output, unless you have a lot of power, otherwise you will regret it after. I've seen it first hand.

Ok so heres my input.. The 282 Pressure plate bolts to the 284 Flywheel.. So therefor the flywheels are the same.. But... Now with the Fidenza Lightweight it has a removeable insert.. The clutch disc for the 282 is smaller than the 284 and the 284 uses more of the flyweel than the 282.. So is the insert for the lightweight big enough? i see that the wear marks on the 284 flywheel are pretty close to the edge where the bolts are for the pressure plate and since the 282 disc is smaller its further away from the bolts for the pressure plate.. Thats y im thinking possibly the insert might not be big enough.. Heres some pictures..
