electronic shift improver

how good are the electronic shift improvers sold by jegs? im planning on getting one for my 94 GP 3100. it has a 4t60 e trans. i want firmer shifts, but be able to turn it off so i dont damage the tranny during daily driving. will an electronic shift kit help my quarter times much?

It may help. Shif improves lengthen the life of trannies. It sacrafices comfort in the name of performance. The quicker shifts mean less slipage and exteded clutch and band life.

Well all they can do is change shift points and increase the shifting speed. They cannot increase hydraulic pressure which is what gives you the real holding power.
