Where can I find some parts for the getrag 282? Like the hockey puck thing inside the bell housing and the shift rail cover on the outside? I have siliconed mine but I'm not a huge fan of it.

i know this is an old post but it's relevant! i need clutch fork bearings for a 91 getrag 282, external style slave that bolts to the bellhousing. need the upper and lower. if i search fork bearing on there i get 2 results but is there any way to see a photo or even a parts explosion to verify that they're the correct parts or do i have to just order and hope for the best?

go to the dealer. Being that specific its a dealer part. The hockey puck the dealer can still get but the shift raill cover the dealer cant even get. Just get a can of "RTV Right Stuff" and go to town on it because thats as good as it going to get.
As for bearings................the old bearings have a p/n stamped into them that should be able to be crossed over at most noteable aftermarket parts dealers. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "clutch fork bearings" do you mean throwout bearing? pictures?95 Z26 3400/OBDII/GETRAG

I bought my rebuilt getrag-282 from PontiacJeff at Engineered Performance. He is known to be VERY good at what he does. He may be able to find the parts you are looking for. Those particular parts that are hard to find/explain.1996 Grand Prix | 3100v6 L82 | T04E-50 Turbo | Getrag 282 w/ EP LSD | SPEC-3 Clutch
