beretta v6 5 speed

hey does anyone know which 5 speed a 93 beretta with a 3.1 came with
and what is the torque/hp capacity
i am wondering cause i have a custom built 3.1 n/a with high compression, cam, etc

It should be the Getrag 282 (also known as Muncie 282, and a few other names, they may have been calling it New Venture something or other by then - but same trans). I think hp capacity for it is rated at 200 and 7000 rpm, not sure on torque. It should have no problem holding the power of any n/a 3.1. If your pushing considerably more power than stock you should consider a clutch upgrade.
