Could it be a simple fix???

On the 00 grand prix 3100 auto. Not sure which tranny but it says RWB on it.

Was driving around and the car was shifting good, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. then turned a corner, went to accel not even gunning it. When it came time for the 2-3 shift it acted like it was in neutral. No forward or reverse gears. Checked my CV shafts which are firm. Havent checked fluid level yet (was dark out when it went) nothing that looks like a leak under the car.

Anything else it could be? Is my trans fucked?

Fluid is above filled lines. I pulled the dipstick out and it's all the way up to the twist in the dipstick (prolly an inch above max line) Would that have anything to do with it?

Did you check it when the car was up to normal operating temp. and on a level surface.
If it was that high normally it will just start to leak out.
I would first check to make sure that all of my linkage, vacuum hoses(if any), elec. connectors were all plugged in or still attached. If you have the ability the scan the car for trouble codes for the trans I would do that too. I would also drop the pan to see if any thing broke and fell into the pan(metal chunks). Could be something electrical inside the trans went.

You might've blown out the 3rd sprag. You still have 1st and 2nd?
