does anybody know what the gear ratios are on a 2.8 v6, 93 Gmc Sonoma, 5 speed. I believe its a Borg warner tranny. Is there a better tranny that can be swapped in?

Check the BW T5 tag to confirm?

    Likely this one:

    1352-222 GM 1993 MY S-Truck 2.8L WC 3.97 2.34 1.48 1.00 0.72
    (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th) and a 3.70 reverse

      still wondering

the tag is 1352-234. I found a web site that has the tag numbers for most of the bw tranny's. Most except for mine, lucky me. It does say that mine is a GM 1993 MY 2.8L. But it doesn't say if it is a world class or not. And I forgot what the front of the case looked like when I did the clutch last year. Anybody got anymore ideas?

That would be a world class version.

1352-234 is one of the few not listed. Most likely a newer S10 has the 3.76 1st gear ratio and if you have a 3.42 rear end ratio, thats a decent combo.

          -BMC.
