I have a 4t60e in a '94 Chevy Lumina Coupe with 90000 miles that won't come out of 1st. I replaced the vacuum modulator, changed the fluid/filter again (previously done less than 1000 miles ago), checked for vacuum leaks, etc. The tranny fluid looked very good. The odd thing is it began to shift for a short period of time last night. I parked it and this morning it is a no go again and havent shifted in a week now. I unplugged the harness from the tranny and it is starting in 3rd so I assume the solenoids are operating properly. With the connector unplugged, I can manually shift down into second (not first) and back to 3rd. The speedo works so I am assuming I dont have a VSS problem. I scanned the codes and came up empty. I checked ECM grounds and they all looked clean. Any ideas?
