  • FWD Positraction

I just found out today that there is a positraction unit available for the 4T60E trans in my Lumina, called an SP-LSD. Has anyone out there had any experience with this unit? And if you have, what do you think of it?

I think you are actually referring to the EP-LSD. Several people on here are running them.

Yeah, you're right, it's the EP-LSD. I was at work last night when I posted that and was trying to remember what the letters in the trans name were. Guess I missed by one. Anyway, I'd still like to hear how well they work and if they're worth the cost.

        Mine works just fine.

Over 300 1/4 mile passes and not a problem at all.

Very streetable, and you'd really never know it's in there until you need it.

I believe he only makes the race version now. That is what I have.

i have one too. i've got over 3000 miles and it's fine. he only does make the race version. my only complaint is that it moans and groans when i turn. i still think it should be stiffer yet. it took him 8 months to finally get mine done. i'm just glad i don't have problems. i don't want to wait a year to have mine fixed.

^^^Ahh, now there is an issue.^^^

Jeff can be just "alittle" hard to get ahold of at times.

I have personally never had a problem getting parts pretty quickly, (in fact overnight to Canada on occasion) but there are some stories on the Beretta Forums of some lengthy delays, and contact issues.

It seems to have more to do with his other job(s) rather than any effort to be difficult.

As I said, I have never had a problem with any of the three I have purchased for various projects.

mine was before, then during his other job. a year ago, he said he was getting out of the LSD business. he says he doesn't make that much from them, and they are a hassle and a lot of work.
