I think the FDR depended on the Engine and the Car they were in. I'm pretty sure the ATSG manuals that are sold on e-bay have all the info. I could have swore someone here said they had one.

BTW...doesn't this belong in the tranny section?

          Here is a quick guide:

To get the 3.73 overall FDR, you just need to put in a 3.33 diff. You/we already have the best chain ratio available.

kewl, how do i do that and where do i get a 3.33? also i have a 3 spd auto for a 86 fiero gt. mybe that might be a potential donor for a diff?also if quantum is right u guys can delete the thread and i will re-post. i didn't intentionally screw up the order.sry

u HAVE to get a diff from a 4t60e. any w-body that has a 4t60e and was matted to a 3.1 will have your differential. if u don't know how to put it in a suggest having a trans shop do it for u.

any 4t60e with a 3100 motor in a w-body. You'll need the differential, sun gear, and possibly a shim/washer/clip. Lorenzo would know since he's done this.

You should be able to do it from the passenger side wheel well, its not gonna be easy but it is possible. On the 3.4 you'll have to remove the rear motor mount and bracket, remove the axel, and possibly undo the tie rod from the knuckle.

If your alternator is starting to die you might as well do that along with it since it will be much easier to get out.

i've done it to. u are supposed to use a special tool from gm to measure the clearance so u know what spacer to use
