    Turbo-Hydramatic 125 i have that in my car and was wondering if i can change the gears to go faster im wondering i want to go faster 0-60 but i dont want to top out at 100 but its my daily driver so i think ill go for top speed i want my top speed to be 130-135 MPH any 1 know if its possible

    There are several gear sets available for the TH 125 (3t40) depending on exactly what you are looking to do and what differential you have now.

    However to go that fast you will have other things to modify other than the gear set, such as the speed limiter in the computer.

    And in order to go that fast, which by the way is a rather stupid aspiration, you will pretty much kill any 0-60 performance.

    Jeff at Engineered Performace can get you the gear set and the differential you will require, and any competent trans shop can install them.

      i used to have the 125 in my Z. i hit about 120 mph at 5500 rpm. no way are you going to go 130 with that 2.8 unless it's built pretty good. a lower FDR will make you go a little faster, but you'll turn more rpm on the highway, and reduce top speed.

        id say your best bet would be to hope you can find a gear set in which the last gear is much higher, but without setting the engine up for high revs thats a lot to ask from a 2.8, even if it is a v6...
