alright i own a 92 regal custom with a 3.8, the car has just over 70000 miles on it i was given the car from my great grandpa who let it sit around a lot. since ive had the car ive had problems with it shifting hard into overdrive and problems with the lock converter engaging it shutters reall hard then just kinda clunks when i does finally lock up. on my way home from ohio i was going up a hill and the car down shifted under acceleration then went to up shift and i heard a lound "clunk" and the car free revved at about 70MPH i the service engine soon light came on and the digital MPH display went to
0MPH i pulled over and the car moves in overdrive and all other gears but will not shift out of low gear and i still get no MPH reading on spedo. reverse works. ive always checked fluids in the car and tranny fluid has only been low once and i topped it off with Wynns shutter guard that i got from my shop to see if it might fix the shift problems.... can anyone help me please?
