That's the good sprag, and your stock one is inside the roller... Look in your book at page 54 it shows you were its located

Oh and those holes aren't at random spots, that's where the drum comes in contact with the parts near it... there are spaced out notches, they don't touch all the way around.

That stove pipe looks like something broke off and got in there and punched those holes. Doesn't look worn really, looks damaged. Looks torn up. Jon's looked worn in a different way, like on the outside. Looks like yours is worn on the inside.

try your best to take your time during the build, and double check your triple checks! it looks as though your stock 4th hub is already hardened and in great condition. the new one doesn't look like it's hardened. but pictures can be deceiving. This is what my stock hub looked like with about 40K miles.

it will be a dark blueish. kind of like in this picture. see how the 4th hub splines are much darker than the rest? that's how you know.

Thats also a 65e... Mine in my picture way at the top was a brand new one too and hardened.

What do the splines look like condition wise on your hold hub? are they worn?
-Nevermind you can see them in the pic... they do look good. What doest he date thats stamped on the tube say? If its factory it should have the year of the trans.

That was after I rebilt the Pink car trans... I put a diff in (waiting to get my LSD back) and forgot a thrust washer and it went kablewy and took out the FD sun gear with it, which happens to be the first thing you put in the trans when you build it. SO thats why all my new parts go pulled back out.
